Description

Compliments of Joe & Kathy Curto, longtime supporters of Groundwork, spend a weekend exploring one of the most charming Hudson Valley villages. This 1833 gem is located in the heart of the Village of Cold Spring and boasts a sprawling backyard that borders The West Point Foundry Preserve. It is a 10-minute walk to Hudson Highlands State Park (Breakneck Ridge, Bull Hill, Little Stony Point, Cornish Estate trails) and the Metro North train station, and a 5-minute stroll to Main Street for shopping and dining. A visit to the charming waterfront gazebo is a must!

This 2,800-square foot home is historic but not stuffy. It sits on 1.7 acres, sleeps six in four bedrooms and has an inviting kitchen for cooking and conversation. There are two outdoor grills, one ceramic Kamado Joe and one propane. The house will be loaded with gourmet food, wine and rib eye steaks in the freezer. (If guests are vegetarian, let us know and we will happily accommodate.) The clawfoot tub in the master bath is divine for soaking after a day of hiking or shop hopping. There is a pool table in the rustic basement. In case the temperature drops a bit outside there’s a Mr. Steam sauna in the shower on the second floor and fireplaces in both the living room and dining room. Of course, wood will be provided. Cozy is our motto!

Availability Friday, Noon through Sunday, 6pm, 3/15/21-8/15/21.

This is a rare opportunity to get away from it all as The Curto Family does not regularly rent their home. Considerate guests are welcome.
